Leaves In The Evening

This picture is taken by my girl friend in the evening. I feel very nice with it. She captured at a very nice angle. Lighting source is from the Sun around 5pm - 6pm. Not much to be edited, I just slightly raise the contrast and temperature.

Pretty! Isn't it? XD

Love Bear Music Box

Love Bear Music Box! A gift from my lovely girl friend! This time I need more efforts on preparing the dark background. Lighting is not good too as I have merely 1 light source. Seriously lack of tools. Hopefully I will be able to set up a better background and lighting next time. Same, I crop, adjust saturation, temperature, contrast and shadow. XD

The lighting is initially yellow in colour. I set the temperature to be warmer, resulting in lighting effects in pictures shown. Contrast is set to pretty high while shadow is set to as dark as possible. This move is essential  to remove the noise due to low light condition. Well, F3 simply doesn't work well in low light condition. I didn't use flash. Flashing the objects will spoil the lighting effects.

I also try to invert the pictures into black and white. It has another kind of feelings!

Seems like he is very lonely... Isn't it?

Well, I love this the most! How you all think? XD

Leaves

Leaves! Post-edited: Crop, adjust saturation, temperature, contrast and shadow. I also slightly sharpen it. =)

Water Drop From Pipe

Well my first trial on F3 is water drop from pipe. I use auto-mode with flash on! Nothing special, just wait for the best timing, point and shoot. Ya! And I have it!

It needs a lot of patience to wait for the best timing! O ya, these pictures are post-edited. I crop, adjust saturation, temperature, contrast and shadow using windows live photo gallery. Very simple tool. How is it?

Panasonic Lumix DMC-F3

I just bought a new digicam, Lumix DMC-F3. It is my first ever digicam (neglecting handphone camera). Haha! XD

I bought it with RM400. Since I am a beginner user and considering its price, F3 functions very very well already for me. Rating from 0 - 10 marks, I would give it 8 marks. It is black in colour.

Lumix DMC-F3 (Back View)

Its general specification:
  ● 12.1 Megapixels
  ● 4x Optical Zoom
  ● 28mm Wide Angle
  ● 2.7" LCD
  ● HD Movie Recording

Well it has plenty scene modes which is quite useful. Anyway, I love its auto-scene-mode. It's really intelligent enough. It'll auto adjust almost everything for you: ISO, shutter speed, flash and many. What you have to do is just point and shoot. Very convenient. But, you can opt to force the flash off even in low light condition. Personally, I dislike images being flashed. It doesn't look nice. This is an added advantage of F3!

But, it has disadvantages too. It has only digital image stabilizer but not optical image stabilizer. It does not help much if my hand is shaking. Photo-saving takes longer time too if digital image stabilizer is on. So usually, I just off it.

F3 has normal picture mode which offer you more controls on ISO, White-Balance and so on. I try to shoot in this mode. Unfortunately, I can't come out with a nice picture. I think this is my problems. I don't know how to choose ISO values and so on so forth. Haha! XD

O ya, talking about HD movie recording, the video taken is clear and smooth enough! What disappointed me is that we can't preview the videos taken. We can only preview pictures in F3. What is even more frustrating is that we can't even delete videos taken. We just can't do anything on videos. How stupid it is. Videos are so space-consuming!!!

F3 offers some simple post-edit on pictures, like resize, trim and adding text. It's quite good anyway.

Overall speaking, F3 satisfies my needs for a camera! I will post some pictures taken on next post! ^^
